Equity Release in the Highlands & Islands

Elaine Cullen

I live in the Highlands and Islands can I do Equity Release?

If you live in the Inner our Outer Hebrides you may be wondering do I qualify for Equity Release and can I get it? In a nutshell yes! However, not all lenders lend in the Islands and those that do will often have some additional requirements when it comes to property construction ‘type’ and location.

For example; a corrugated iron roof is not an unfamiliar aspect on the landscape of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. There are lenders who WILL consider this type of roof construction, most unfortunately will not. There are many other unique properties features we see across the length and breadth of the Scottish Countryside, here at Equity Release Scotland our professional team are all familiar with the unique property styles and construction across rural Scotland and understand which lenders will consider lending on and which won’t.

Equity Release Scotland is a Scottish company, owned and operating in Scotland, focused on ensuring that our Scottish clients that come to us for information on equity release options all receive the same commitment to; good, solid honest advice with no pressure and no time-lines. We will discuss your concerns and objectives, we’ll will give you all the information, explaining everything thoroughly, cutting through the jargon and enable you to decide if Equity Release is right for you.
